Smith Barfield Park

Power Plant Park
Power Plant Park is an 18.8 acre development with 59 mixed-light hybrid greenhouses. Each greenhouse has the latest technology in lighting, irrigation, environmental control and CO2 infusion to produce cannabis flowers & extracted products. These facilities will be operated by PowerPlant Park and leased to licensed cultivators, manufacturers, etc.
The Pavilion is a popular venue for weddings, parties, and other special events. Its location overlooking the lake makes it a perfect spot for wedding receptions. You can even rent a boat and enjoy the beautiful scenery.
The Pavilion is also a famous tourist attraction, and the site of the 1997 film Men in Black. The observation towers were used as alien UFOs in the movie. It is one of the most unique locations in New York City. A group of volunteers has been working to restore the Pavilion since 2009. They have repainted the structure and raised funds through programs, events and online efforts. They have made significant progress, and hope to complete the project in 2024.

Their efforts were successful, and the Pavilion was refurbished. Today, it remains a popular destination for tourists and locals alike.
